While continuously growing with new investments, Starwood—having never publicly shared the assistance it provides to those in need—implemented an “100% Support for Education” investment, both to set an example and to indirectly inform its customers of their participation. The İnegöl H. Sevim Yıldız Vocational Education Campus project, whose foundation was laid in April 2006 with a budget of 30,000,000 USD, consists of 26 buildings. The first 2,850 m² building of the campus was completed at the end of 2006. The entire charitable work was financed with profits generated from the shopping turnover of those who serve Starwood and trade with Starwood.

Believing that investment in education will return to society, Starwood is highly hopeful about the contribution new generations will make to educational life. Taking pride in providing this environment to young people who look to the future more confidently by gaining a profession, Starwood aims, based on the understanding that “Knowledge is power,” to raise individuals who possess knowledge, power, and thus self-confidence through this project.

For our country to move confidently into the future, it is possible by increasing education and welfare levels. With this charitable work carried out in light of this belief, Starwood demonstrates its awareness of social responsibility.
