In our world where energy is one of the most important points, Starwood has carried out serious work for years to ensure efficient energy use, minimize the use of fossil fuels, and optimize the use of electrical energy, reaching better points every day.

In facilities where the use of coal and similar fuels has been completely eliminated since 1997, the use of natural gas has also been minimized. By shifting mainly to biofuels, both environmental pollution has been minimized and all investments have been made by leading the sector so that our country can become economically independent from foreign-sourced fuels. In particular, by debarking all the wood used in production, Starwood not only improved product quality but also obtained a large amount of biofuel and minimized external dependency as a company.

In some systems in production, hot gases that occur are used as combustion air without being released into the atmosphere, both purifying them from harmful substances and recovering them as energy.

Energy audit studies were carried out by world-renowned organizations to optimize the efficient use of electrical energy, and successful results worthy of Starwood were obtained.

All these efforts have been gathered under the ISO 50001 Energy Management System and certified.
